Food Journal for June 7th, 8th, and 9th

DH and I visited our families in PA on Saturday and Sunday. It was hot, hot, hot....and miserable. Mom and Dad don't have central air (hell, they don't have the internet or a touch tone phone either), so there was nowhere to be comfortable. I did absolutely no exercise there, but I'm not blaming it just on being there. I've been in a very vegetable-type state since for the last several days. I feel fine....it's just that I want a break. And since we are on vacation, I'm taking one. Granted, we are now back home and I could exercise if I wanted, but I don't feel like it. Most likely, though, I'll get up tomorrow and do something before it becomes so miserably hot. I know I'm just being lazy.

Saturday
7:30 a.m.
Small bowl of oatmeal w/cinnamon and raw sugar, 1 mini bagel w/whipped cream cheese, small glass OJ
1:00 p.m. Long John Silvers w/Mom: 3 chicken planks, few fries, 2 hush puppies, couple bites of cole slaw, diet root beer, small hot fudge sundae w/whipped cream
6:00 p.m. Amber's graduation party - 1/2 piece ham, little bit of cole slaw, 1 roll, 2 small cookies, 1 piece cake, 1 and 1/2 cans regular Dr. Pepper

Sunday

12:00 p.m. Montana's Country Cafe w/DH and the In-Laws: Grilled chicken sandwich (w/bacon, cheese, and mayo), few potato chips, couple of pickle slices, water
2:00 p.m. Tiny bit chocolate frozen yogurt (just a taste)
3:15 p.m. 2 mini York Peppermint Patties
6:30 p.m. Hoss's w/Mom, Dad, and DH: little bit of garlic bread, cheeseburger w/ketchup & onions, few fries, 1 glass regular Coke, small dish soft serve

Monday
7:45 a.m. 1 oatmeal-to-go-bar, small glass regular chocolate milk
12:00 p.m. 4 Dove chocolate caramels
2:30 p.m. Longhorn w/DH: 1 chunk brown bread, tossed salad (w/ lettuce, veggies, shredded cheese, croutons and side of Ranch - shared it w/DH), Grilled chicken sandwich w/cheese and BBQ sauce, water

I could get over the phone, but no Internet or A/C and I'd be a goner. We have our A/C running almost all year long - even sometimes in winter.

Glad you're back!

Yeah, it's like going back in time when we visit there. It's a beautiful area (rural, lots of forests as well as wide, open spaces), but I don't know if I could move back. Well, at least I know I couldn't move back with my parents! :-)

You definitely deserve a break every now and then. It's good for the body and soul!
